The Coppell baseball team is 5-3 in District 5-6A play, currently slotting in at third place. This comes after the Cowboys dropped their first three games and responded by winning their last five.

Last week, they started by beating Lewisville 4-3 on the road and followed up with a 3-1 home win. On the road, Drew Minnick got the win with Aaron Malick adding two solid relief innings, allowing no hits or walks and striking out four.
