The Tullahoma High School softball team traveled to Marion County last week and won 12-7 while cranking three home runs.
Madison Goad led the Lady ‘Cats with four hits and six RBI. Goad had four extra base hits. She shot two balls over the fence. Her first blast was a solo shot to center and the second was a two-run shot to right field.  Goad’s other two hits were doubles. Sara Tate smashed a ball over the center field wall in the first inning for Tullahoma’s other home run. It was a two-run blast.
The entire Lady Wildcats lineup was hot as they tallied 13 hits and eight walks. Brinley Gillam had three hits, two were doubles. Tate had a single to go with her homer. Kylee Holt, Aleigha Raby, Miaha Johnson and Margaret Lynch all had a hit. Raby, Johnson and Gillam drove a run in. Holt drew a pair of walks in the game. Addyson Norman, Tate, Raby, Elizabeth Simpson, Johnson and Lynch accounted for the other six Tullahoma walks.
Amaya Sharp had a strong performance throwing for the Lady Wildcats. She threw the complete game and allowed just two earned runs. Sharp struck out five batters. She threw 72 strikes on 125 pitches.
Tullahoma is 4-3 overall on the season and 1-1 in district play. They play against Marion County today at home starting at 1 p.m. Their next game will be game Tuesday at Marshall County with first pitch at 5:30 p.m. and then they will play at home again on Thursday when they host district leader Giles County at 5:30 p.m.
