St. Andrew's-Sewanee's Jack Frazier competes in the boys 100-yard butterfly during a meet Tuesday against Franklin County High School. Frazier finished first in the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle at the meet.
Franklin County's Ella Wenger competes in the girls 50-yard freestyle during a meet Tuesday at St. Andrew's-Sewanee School. Wenger finished first in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle at the meet.
The Franklin County High School and middle school swim teams competed against the teams of St. Andrew’s-Sewanee Tuesday in a meet at the Fowler Center at the University of the South.
The Sewanee swimmers took first place in 17 of the meet’s 22 events and added another 13 second-place finishes while the Franklin County swim teams combined for five first-place performances and six second-place finishes.
In the team standings, the Sewanee Mountain Lions beat the FCHS Rebels 72-39 on the boys side while the Lady Mountain Lions gave the Rebelettes an 85-34 defeat in the girls portion of the meet.
Recording first-place finishes for Sewanee were:
