HCHS swimmers race at state meet

Henry County High School swim team members (front row, from left) Sara Mathis, Olivia Hart, Emma Dotson, Audrey Hill; (second row) Charlotte Coulston and Turner McSwain are seen at the state championship meet last weekend in Knoxville. Two HCHS swimmers established new school records. Mathis, a senior, set a new record for the 200-yard individual medley while McSwain, a freshman, broke the school record for 100-yard breaststroke. The girls’ freestyle relay team placed 26th at the meet. That team included Mathis, Coulston, Hill and Hart. The state meet included 140 teams and 800 swimmers. There are no class divisions and the meet includes both private and public school athletes.
